Dr. Gerry Clum
Consultation, Advocacy, Representation in Chiropractic and Related Issues

Overview

Dr. Gerard "Gerry" Clum has been intimately involved with the chiropractic profession for the past forty years. The majority of his career has focused on chiropractic education and the organizational infrastructure of the chiropractic community.

Gerry began his academic career as an instructor at the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa (1973-1974). He then was invited to be a member of the founding faculty of Life Chiropractic College, Marietta, Georgia (now Life University) where he served in a number of instructional and administrative roles from 1975 through 1981.

In 1981 he was appointed president of Life Chiropractic College West (Hayward, California) where he served as president and chief executive officer for thirty years retiring from Life Chiropractic College West in January 2011.

Dr. Clum currently serves as the Presidential Liaison for External Affairs at Life University, Marietta, Georgia. His duties involve consultation with respect to the international efforts of the University and serving as the Director of The Octagon, a "think-tank" addressing matters of health, health care and contemporary perspectives on Vitalism. 

He has served as officer or board member of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC), the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) and the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP).

Dr. Clum has also been active as a lecturer, expert witness and spokesperson on matters related to chiropractic education, chiropractic practice and health matters in general.
